Hi there,

1. Hmm, I don't quite understand why you can do this with posts. You can have a specified category (i.e. "Timeline") and assign only those posts to the timeline. This will prevent any non-timeline posts from displaying. Maybe I misunderstand?

1. Yes there is a Reason. I want to have a fixed timeline, which means I do not want future posts (which I envision as bringing additional background info rather than the summaries I want to have displayed in the timeline).

Hi there,

1. Is there a reason you prefer pages over posts? Unfortunately pages are not an option as they don't have the ability to categorize like posts do and WordPress doesn't have an effective method for displaying multiple pages in a filtered way like it does for posts.

2. The best (and most concise) answer I can provide is the one already posted in the thread you linked to. If you need help with implementing that customization, I suggest asking the user a question to clarify something that isn't clear to you. HI,

Is it possible to display pages in the timeline instead of posts. Is it possible to sort the pages by date so the timeline like it should?

Specifying that question I would like to know how to add BC dates to the timeline, please note that I cannot write or read HTML, so please be very specific in your comment.
(I already found http://www.themolitor.com/forums/topic/timeline-use-dates-in-the-far-past-eg-1550bce, but even that is too complicated for me)
