However, can you help me understand in your theme's code where I need to put this? Where can I find the "loop"? (I don't see it in the index.php file.)

Hi there,

Unfortunately WordPress doesn't provide an option to choose a category pages as the home page. I'm not sure why, though. It seems like an option that a lot of users would want.

Maybe search for a plugin?

Hi Chris,

Sorry, I'm afraid I didn't explain myself very well: what I would like is a home page that doesn't use the timeline, but instead appears as it would if a category was selected (without the timeline).

So, let's say I wanted the home page to look like this:

http://www.americanartistinrome.com/category/all-paintings/

What do I need to do?
