I am having the same problem, but with me I am not having any issue with ">" being converted to something else - it simply isn't working.

This is what I have in my custom CSS box:

#theEnd {display: none;}
.innerTopPanel > h2,
.metaStuff {display: none !important;}

The first line works to get rid of "The End", but "Posted by samccollough on Apr 9th, 2017 in Introduction" won't go away. I tried purging the cache, to no avail.

Thoughts?

Looks like your markup is incorrect. Looking at your source code I see this...

.innerTopPanel & gt; h2,
.metaStuff {display: none !important;}

Be sure to replace & gth; with >.

Hi there,

When making CSS edits, be sure to use the Custom CSS box on the Customize page. Remember, if you update the theme your edits to the stylesheet will be overridden.

Try this...

.innerTopPanel > h2,
.metaStuff {display: none !important;}

I would like to remove the "Posted by admin on Sep 29, 2014 in Servicios " in every post, I've edited the style.css and added;

.posted-by {
display: none;
}
.author {
display: none;
}

But still this information if shown on every post, how could I do to remove it?
