Hi there,

The theme doesn't really have a lot of control over loading images faster. Loading times really depend on the file size of your images and the number of images you're loading.

My best recommendation is...

1. Use a caching plugin like "WP Super Cache".

2. Optimize the file size of your images using various online tools: http://sixrevisions.com/tools/8-excellent-tools-for-optimizing-your-images/

3. Breaking up galleries with lots of images into sub-category galleries.

4. Upgrade your hosting account to handle more bandwidth.

Thanks!

Chris

I do agree that the theme needs a more efficient way in loading images especially if your trying to display your portfolio on a computer with dsl or bellow internet. I've noticed this long wait also as i've uploaded more high quality photos. Its not so bad after you've loaded it the first time but only having 8 photos up it feels to slow for the first time loading the page. Still really enjoying the theme and exploring its possibilities. Hope you keep up the good work and can possible improve this in the future.

Dear Chris,

I think it works a bit. It will load one by one but I need to press play slideshow button in the upper right corner to make it works. Is there any method so that I need not press this button every time I enter a gallery ?

Thanks for your great help !!

Hi there,

Try this... add the following on line 568 of "scripts.js"...

loadMe();

...and change the following on line 576...

thumb.filter(':first').click().loadMe();

...to this...

thumb.filter(':first').click();

If that doesn't work, I'll have to ask that you submit a customization request here: http://themolitor.com/custom -- as this would require more work than I'm able to provide.

Thanks!

Yup, is it possible if for example we have 30 pictures in one category, but not loading 30 pictures then display it. Can we just load one picture first and display it, then the second and display it, etc. so that the visitor will not need to wait so long for all pictures loaded first?

Thanks..

Hi there,

Are you talking about waiting for images to load? That is how this theme is configured to work. If you want the theme to behave differently, please submit a request here: http://themolitor.com/custom

Let me know if I misunderstand your question.

Thanks!

Dear Admin,

Please forgive if I was wrong.. But is it true if all the pictures in a category portfolio should be loaded all (buffered) at once in the first time loading? I wonder if there's a method to disable this? Or at least reduce the number of the buffered posts to load in the first load?

Thanks, awaits for your help..
