Unfortunately this is how the WordPress featured image system works. It's highly recommended that you upload a featured image for each post.

I have a question regarding the background video on posts.

On the page: http://stanleyproductions.dk/category/productions/
You can see the work i have done, and the video plays in the background.
But when you go on specific posts, like this: http://stanleyproductions.dk/vig-festival-2017-torsdag/
Then you have the option to watch the video in that small window, where the background video will confuse the audience.

Is it somehow possible to insert a picture or disable the video on post pages?
And is there a easy method to do so?
