You would need to look into the Wordpress PHP functions (on Wordpress.com) to find that function.

In the template files, look for instances of <?php the_time('m.d.Y') ?> and change it to <?php the_time('d.m.Y') ?>

Don't know if this is a stupid question, but how can i change the date stamp to UK standard (day / Month / Year) not (Month / Day / Year)?
