Hi there,

The Curator and WordPress do not have anything that would restrict users from entering an older date like that. The limitations you're experiencing with setting the date is determined by your hosting provider.

Sorry I can't be more help with this.

Best,

Christopher

I am able to set the dates now but only from 1902. I wanted to have year options such as '1500'. Is there a way to achieve this? Does this also require that I contact my hosting provider?

Hi there,

This may be an issue caused by your hosting provider.

On 32 bit systems, the range of dates that can be expressed in this way is approximately 1901-2038. Most hosting providers use a 64 bit PHP build, which does not have this limitation.

I recommend contacting your host and confirming with them which bit system they are using.

Let me know if that is the cause of the issue.

Best,

Christopher

Just want to change the year of the post from 2016 to something like 1600. Not getting into the date and month right now, but may want to in future. So I changed the year to 1600 keeping everything else intact, but after I clicked on "Update", it showed me the old (present) date.

Hi there,

What are some examples of dates you're trying to use (i.e. how far back are you going)?

It's possible your hosting provider may have a limitation based on how outdated their server configurations are.

Regarding the format of the date for posts, you can see the following in index.php on line 53...

the_time('Y');

The "Y" stads for "Year". You can view all the options available for the date format here: http://php.net/manual/en/function.date.php

Let me know about the date examples you're using.

Best,

Christopher

Hi Christopher, I have purchased this theme and recently installed it. However, I am not able to set a date to my post. When I change the Publish Date and ‘update’ the post, it just resets and takes my current date again. Is there a solution to this? I have installed this here: http://oijo.in/ihcbeta

Also, is there a way I can publish both the current date (of publishing the post) and the year in which the event took place?
