Of, course! I didn't think about the links/drop down menus taking up valuable horizontal real estate. Appreciate your feedback, as usual. Thanks, Chris!

Hi there,

There's a finite amount of horizontal space based on the screen size. As you mentioned, on iPads you have less horizontal space, so you need to pay attention to (1) the size of your logo, (2) the size of your tagline and (3) the number/length of menu links.

Maybe put "Timeline" in the "About" drop down menu? That would free up some space.

Hope that helps you analyze your options.

Best,

Chris

Thanks for your prompt reply, Chris. I took your advice and reduced the size of my logo. Interestingly, when I did that, the timeline looked perfect on MY laptop, but afterward I heard of "overlapping issues" on other's computers. I've made a few more adjustments and think all is ok now...except for one report on an iPad where tag text overlaps links on home page. I'm assuming this is due to smaller screen space as you mentioned. Is their a "best practice" you can recommend so that the timeline stays ideal on "all" or most computers?

I'd appreciate you taking another quick look to see if anything looks aberrant - thanks!

Hi there,

Couple things...

1. The logo size determines the size of the header. The smaller your logo, the smaller your header.

2. The height of your browser window + your screen resolution will determine how much space you have. For example, I don't see any issues with overlap on my desktop or on my laptop, but if I make the browser window smaller, it may cause overlap due to the size of the logo you have.

If you're concerned about this, my best recommendation is to try smaller logo sizes if possible, but again, I don't see any issues on two separate machines.

Hello. I'd appreciate your advice on correcting my "date markers".

If you'll take a look at my timeline you'll see that the "dates" or "years" above my images are partially hidden behind (or under)my header. So for example looking at "Juglet" or "Lachrymatory 2" or "Lachrymatory 3" (or any future images on the timeline) the years can not be seen.

Please take a look at my site and give me your opinion as to what is causing this. I'm using the latest version of Windows and get the same visual results as described above with either the Firefox or Internet Explorer browsers.

My site > http://www.theminimuseum.com/

Thanks!
