This is also happening to me. I have tried using the system generated home button and manually created a custom link button that linked to the home page but neither highlighted the button while on the home page.

In addition to that, only the buttons that are actual pages get highlighted when active. The buttons that are categories do not get highlighted when active.

As of right now the SSL certificate is self generated so don't worry about the error. I plan to get a SSL certificate within the month.

Did you manually create the "Home" button or did you use the one generated by the menu system?

After implementing a Custom Menu, the theme no longer highlights the current page in the navigation like it did before the Custom Menu:

Example: If I click on a sub-menu page (About > Map and Directions) then "About" will be highlighted, but if I am on the Home page, "Home" will not be highlighted.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
