I don't understand how and why but this issue disapeard ( " i see inside the borders color some "dark pixel lines" that spoil the "normal" borders color of a thumnail.")

(i whrite for me later what could change it : a new security plugin that fixed some core wp files, or a fresh and proper fonction.php i re-uploaded for a shortcodes issue)

But the fact is that 80% of the codes i insert in my custom css in my wp dashboard don't show up on the website... this code you gived me also (i tried it many times before, and many others scripts)

For this case i can only custom my border's image with the core wp file media php.I let it like this cause its not a strong change, and i ll see with the new wp update then.

I'll make a new post for this css custom issue.

DO NOT touch core WP files. You should be able to resolve this by adding the following to your Custom CSS...

.gallery img { border: none; }

Sorry to reply on this post but i have to do it ....

There is some issue here i can't resolve, maybe you know something:

In the wp-includes/media.php line 1752 there is a line code that gives you the customisation of borders thumnails.
If you try to custom it by the custom css way (in the quick custom css or in your css file of the them), it just doesn't shox up for me. (even with the "! imporant")

I tried to remove this line in the media.php and then the custom css was showwing up, but i don't know if its good to remove that in the media.php...

This begun with the last update of wordpress.

Anyway, in both of thoses cases, i see inside the borders color some "dark pixel lines" that spoil the "normal" borders color of a thumnail.

Hi there,

For customizing/overriding WordPress CSS, be sure to use !important in all your Custom CSS stylings. This is an annoyance, I know, but that's how WordPress has things setup.

(but i realize that if i put a custom code (for borders and color thumbnails) in WP GALLERY SHORTCODE STUFF, it will not show up, just the code in media.php will take over.
maybe i should not change the media.php file

i'll whrite it for other people in this case (and later for me also..) :

i changed the border size and color.

works

(If i did something which can be harmful for the theme Chris tell me.But i think it's working good)

I found for this case something strange ; when i inspect the element i see one other "border image" customization :

#gallery-2 img {
border: 2px solid #cfcfcf;
}

when i remove it the borders that i had customize in your theme finally appear !

but the source of this code is impossible to found...i can't find thoses lines of code anywhere.

When i add codes in the gallery shortcode stuff in css style of the theme, it doesn't show up.

Here i just want a white borders for each thumbnails pictures (in the gallery page), i whrote :

.gallery img {border:10px solid #FFFFFF ; display:block;
}

And i have like a 3 px border and the color is grey.

I tried also in the custom css in wordpres dashboard, same issue.
