Hi there,

The legacy data (i.e. the content you hid) is for users that updated from an older version of the theme. The newer version uses the fields that you see now on the post screen.

The data for both sections are stored on your database. If you need to update/change that data, just use the fields you see now and they will override any legacy settings.

Hope that helps.

Best,

Chris

Hi, thank you for the fast answer. This helps and I only get one set of custom fields BUT they seem not to have imported the data like lat long... The site still works, so I presume the data is still somewhere, but I am not sure where.
Can I let it go or should I first transfer the data from the old fields to the new?
Thanks
B.

Hi there,

It sounds like your legacy post options have been uncommented in the functions.php file. Open up functions.php and make sure lines 118-121 are preceded by
//
like this...

////////////////////////
//LEGACY CUSTOM POST OPTIONS
////////////////////////
//include(TEMPLATEPATH . '/include/old-post-meta.php');

Let me know if that helps.

Best,

Chris

Hi,
I have a question. After updating the theme to 2.02 I now have two sets of custom post options (for longitude, latitude, address... etc.) in the back end of each post or page. Do you have any idea where that mistake could come from? It does not make any sense and I am afraid my editors might get confused using them.
Thank you!
