Looks to work fine with a little more tweaking this time around. I have it looking for the post background first, then the map, then the site wide default bg image. Great theme!

This was an easy fix, on a well coded and commented page made by The Molitor...

Just go to single.php and change the if elseif statement after // START MAP STUFF

Move the background image to be tried before the map, just flipflop the two, and voila, if you have a background image chosen, it will use it, if not, then a map, and if not that then the default background image...works great! Post to this and I should get an email if you can't figure that out, hated to post all the code here...

I am after this as well, has this been done? I would like to be able to have lat long on a post so it shows up everywhere on the map, but when on the post a large background image (which I have put the url to in the appropriate box) shows up instead of a map...seems like a great idea!

Can I have a post with lat/long info (so it shows up on my home/category pages) but still has a custom background in stead of a map? I really only want a map home page and category pages to display maps. I would like to make most of my posts with my own image of map as a background.
