Hi, I have a solution but it's not automated. Basically you create a 1920x1080 black canvas then paste your image onto that. This will guarantee that it won't crop the top off on any screen size. Obviously it's more work and it creates other issue, but it's the best solution for now.

Good luck,

Go to Settings > General > remove what you have in the "Site Title". That should do it...

Hey Jeffery,

I will talk with Chris about the images for sure.

1) Uploading your logo, but it's not appearing - It looks like your Option Tree isn't setup all the way! Have you uploaded the XML File? Your settings do not look the same as mine in the backend. I have "General" "Google Fonts" and "Footer" with the option to insert an image URL for logo.

2) This might be related to your Option Tree not being setup properly.

Let me know.

Do you see any possibilities with fixing this problem in future updates? Because as a photography theme, this seems like a major flaw. Personally this a big problem for me as I'm showcasing my work with this website.

Sorry to keep bombarding you with questions but I keep running into problems.

1. I uploaded a logo (png file) to Option Tree under Theme Option but it's not showing up. What am I doing wrong?
http://www.pbase.com/image/141930611

2. Setting a background by "Settings > Reading Section" doesn't apply a background image to all pages? How do I set a background to my 'Blog' page? It's a 'Category' not a page so I can't find the place to add one.

Jeffery,

I see the issue, but I don't believe there's much you can do. Unless you're adding some sort of black bar to the top of each image to account for that space, it's going to get covered by Toolbars and extra portions of a normal browser. Ultimately, I don't believe it ruins the images, but I realize it's probably much different from your perspective.

Hi Justin,

I've taken some screenshots so you can see the problem.
This is what it looks like on fullscreen on 1920x1090: http://www.pbase.com/jeffery/image/141855522

See how there's meant to be a bit of space above the model's head?

By the way, how do I set the homepage background? Since I can't find that in my Option Tree.

Hey Jeffery,

Perhaps I'm just not seeing the issue because I don't know what the original image looks like.

As for the Theme Options page, it's likely a difference in version between Wordpress. Though, yours looks fine so there's nothing to be concerned about.

The problem is very much still there, have you tried viewing it on other monitors that are higher resolution than 1024x768? I believe it's a aspect ratio problem rather than resolution. The images seem fine at 3:2 ratio but not 16:9 (which modern monitors are in).

Take a look at this image for example:
http://jefferywen.com/?page_id=25

At 1024x768, adjust your browser into a 16:9ish ratio window you'll see it starts to chop the image at the top. Can you see the problem yet?

I guess I'm having a hard time seeing what the issue is... the images look great to me. From what I can tell of what you're asking though, I highly doubt that there is a way to limit the ration/resolution. Just doesn't seem like something that you can do.

Hi Justin,

Yeh it's not a problem at 1024x768 resolution. I think the problem is the ratio, at 16:9 screen ratio the images are stretched so it looks like it's being cropped from the top. So is there any way to limit the ratio/resolution of the content within the browser?
