Hi there,

This theme utilizes the publish date feature of WordPress to manage the position/date of the post in the calendar. Since WordPress does not support the option for a post to span multiple dates, this is not a feature of the calendar.

Additionally, with the way the calendar displays events/posts, there needs to be a specific post for a specific day so that the order of events does not get confusing. For example, if an event spanned 3 days, but you have another separate event on day 2, there isn't an effective way to illustrate that in the calendar.

Another option would be to just add in the description area that the event spans multiple days.

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks!

Chris

I have the same exact issue. I cannot feasibly use this theme, without the ability to let an event span multiple dates. My users would complain about all the maintenance work. Especially if it's found that something was wrong in a description - then they have to go back and edit every single post? Ugh - forget it.

Is there some way to perhaps use another calendar plug-in that would allow this type of function? Such as: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ajax-event-calendar/

Hi there,

This is how you achieve that functionality since the date is controlled by the publish date of the post.

Thanks!

Hi,

I have many events that are lasting multiple days and I wanted to know if there is a way to simplify this instead of creating identical posts for different dates.

Thanks in advance for your help!
