Sometimes the markup gets overwritten by the WordPress system. Try entering this on the Customize page for the countdown format setting...

My election countdown only shows:

Election Countdown %D% days : %H% hrs : %M% min : %S% sec

Nevermind, I fixed it with a lot of adjusting/saving/changing/saving in the customization.

Hi,
I have set the end date for the countdown to be 2015/11/04 12:00 AM. In the customization page, it shows correctly as 222 days and X hours. However, when I hit 'save' and look at the site, it shows 2106 days. Any suggestions???
