I solved this problem by "fiddling" with the Appearance > Customize settings.

I basically cut and paste the color codes I wanted several times and saved repeatedly and it is now working. Thanks.

I'm referring to the Customize page (appearance > customize). There are settings there that may need to be "reset". This is done simply by copy/cut a setting so that the preview refreshes, then paste/reapply the setting and click save/publish.

Just to clarify, you need to adjust/change each setting so that it gets reset.

Judging from your source code, it looks like your settings aren't being applied. Try manually adjusting each setting to see if that has any impact.

Did you try "resetting" those color settings using the instructions I posted above? It sounds like an issue with the settings being saved to your database.

Ok thanks, I tried the suggestion, but still get the same result. To give you more info, the css for sliderContainer shows "background:; background:-webkit-gradient(linear, left top, left bottom, from(), to());" but is properly filled out in the customize view. I'm guessing it has something to do with get_theme_mod() in header.php? I'm not sure why it would only fill out in the options view. (More info: I'm using a static page as the homepage.)

Try reapplying/resetting your theme settings on the Customize page.

For some reason, the countdown, donate button and sliderContainer blue background are only visible in the theme Customize mode. When viewing the site, these items are not visible. When inspecting the sliderContainer element, "Invalid property value" pops up. Have any idea why this is happening?
