Thanks for posting on the forums :-)

Regarding updates, the latest version of the theme will always be available on your downloads page on ThemeForest. I post notes about updates on both the item page of the theme as well as here on the forums. You can compare version numbers by looking on the "themes" page of your WordPress dashboard.

The best way to update is to replace the files via FTP. If you're not comfortable doing that, you can deactivate the theme, delete it and then upload the latest version.

Regarding child themes, I haven't tested the child theme process with this theme, so I'm not specifically sure what the issue could be. Do you see theme options available on the child theme? If so, you may need to fill those out for the child theme display.

Can you provide details for the process you went about making the child theme? For example, what files are in your child theme?

I pushed the theme to production and i now want to create a child theme. When i attempt to activate the child theme my Home Page slider does not work. please view the screen shot here http://cl.ly/image/1m1F0I3R1b0o

Do you have an updated version of this theme?? Whats the update process? Do i re-download and upload the new theme?
