Yes, I had to play with and without the piece of code you provided above for test phase, because I´ve met some other issues with the template.

I put the piece of code again in the custom.js file, in a script folder located in the producer-child.

I still doesn´t work.

My version of safari is Version 7.0.3 (9537.75.14), running on mac.

I activated a plugin that display an under construction page, which explain the fact that you can't see the website. I forgot about that, sorry.

http://lafavemedia.mx uses a child theme created form the producer theme.
In fact it's running perfectly in Chrome, Firefox but not in safari as mentioned above.

I need to give you access (admin and pwd) to the wp admin so you can see it running.

Not working.

I've got the same pbm as ravnmediacraft.
When I set my website to the parent producer theme it works fine, but when i set it to the child them the content doesn´t load, even with the code change you suggest.

I'll plan on replacing the loading animation script with one that doesn't cause this issue. Until then, you can disable the script for safari only by opening custom.js and changing the following on lines 86-89 from this...

Hi there,

We're encountering an issue where a child theme of producer is breaking in Safari but not other browsers. Essentially Safari gets a frozen loading-circle animation.

With the most basic child theme - just the child header followed by

@import url("../producer/style.css");

we get this issue.

However, if we copy over the entire style.css from Producer into the child, it works. Of course, we'd like to avoid doing that and only include items we want to actually modify in the child. I saw a different thread for this issue with Safari on iPads/iPhones, but this affecting Safari on OS X (Mountain Lion, Mavericks, etc.). Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks!
