Hi there,

Yes, this slipped under my radar when I did the last update. I'll be sure to address this in the next one.

Hello Chris,

This is the second template I got from you and its pretty cool (first one was The Daily Press and third one is The Constructor). All great themes! (will rate it in themeforest).

I was wondering if this step for child theme is still necessary to make.

Regards,

GI

Hi there,

I really appreciate the feedback and support! :-)

With the last few themes I've put out, I started using the wp_enqueue_style method. You must be the first to use the child theme approach with these recent theme releases, so congratulations! ;-)

Also, please be sure to post these suggestions (as well as future ideas) in this feature requests thread: http://www.themolitor.com/forums/topic/feature-requests-for-the-kitchen-table

Great thanks Chris! Am I the first to use your theme with a Child Theme? Surprising it hasn't come up before now.

I have to say, I'm greatly impressed with your theming design. I've purchased your travel map theme too and I was greatly impressed! Great stuff, I"m a follower on TF (as well as Twitter, etc).

After using your Kitchen theme for this client my only wishes were:
(1) That the meals/recipes were a custom post type. They get lost being mixed in with blog posts.
(2) I wish you had a handy tinymce shortcode button (I did install your recommended columns shortcode plugin), but for your custom short codes it would be handy.

That's it other than that it's a near perfect theme (now that the child theme issue is fixed ;-).

Thanks Again!

Hi there,

Glad we got that sorted! Yes, this fix will need to be added to the default theme.

Best,

Will you be updating this on your theme in TF?

Hi there,

Try this... Open header.php and change the following on line 30 from this...

wp_enqueue_style( 'stylesheet', get_template_directory_uri() . '/style.css');

...to this...

wp_enqueue_style( 'stylesheet', get_stylesheet_directory_uri() . '/style.css');

Let me know if that works.

Best,

Hello, I'm using a Child Theme with The Kitchen Table for a new project for a client. Any reason why my child theme style.css style aren't being deployed to the site? Does your theme work differently than others? No styles that I'm adding are being deployed. I know that you have a custom CSS field in the theme options, but we are going to be doing quite a bit of tweaking and need this to work with the child theme.

Let me know. Thank!
