Hi there,

To change the gallery thumbnail size, navigate to settings > media and change the thumbnail size there.

I recommend using the "regenerate thumbnails" plugin when making changes AFTER you already uploaded the images.

The only thing relevant in functions.php appears to be for featured images. I'm talking not about featured images but galleries. It seems galleries are handled by prettyphoto

Playing around in Firebug creates some non-optimal results (like image distortion, or loss of padding between images). I want to have six images on that panel, but 300x200, with appropriate padding

I think it's the functions.php you want to go to.

This is probably very easy, but it's not immediately apparent to me how to change the size of the thumbnails in the Gallery section. I'd like to have a rectangle as opposed to square thumbnail, and bigger than the default. I'm just missing where to do this.
