Now it works with Enhanced Media Library, you need go to Media Settings > Taxonomies Options > Filters. There you can see "Order media items by" set it to "Custom Order" and it will work.

Hi, again. Interesting found out that Enhanced Media Library changes the view and you cannot drag'n'drop with this plugin. When i deactivated it, it worked.

Hi there,

I can confirm you can still control the order by dragging the images in the media library pop-up window on the post edit page. Be sure to select "uploaded to this post" when viewing the gallery pop-up on the post edit page.

This doesn't work in latest version of Wordpress? I cannot change the order in "uploaded to this post"

I wouldn't want to hack the code in a theme to address an issue with WordPress. If WordPress releases a fix, that might cause other issues down the road ;-)

You're right! This looks like a WordPress bug. For now, you'll need to order your images in the reverse order you want them to appear.

Chris,
It seems that de pictures are not at random, but in reverse order put in the gallery. In the "add media" pane I put photo 1, 2, 3, 4. In the gallery I see 4, 3, 2, 1.

I did that. The photos are put in the 'details' field in the correct order. But in the Gallery they are put at random. How and where can I change the photos and/or the order of the Gallery?
