Definitely understand. I'd actually already thought of the sub-domain idea as a backup plan, just thought I'd check with you first in case there was an easier fix or some Wordpress functionality that I wasn't familiar with.

Hi there,

I recommend loading your WordPress site on a "home" subdomain and not using the "enter" page via WordPress (i.e. hardcode it as html).

Other than this, I would have to do some research and testing to come up with an alternative approach, which goes beyond the support services I can provide here.

Hi Chris,

On my site I've created a static landing page that isn't a part of the main site, "url.com/enter". When you enter the main site through a link on the landing page, the page you land on is "url.com/home"

The problem this has created is that now when you click on the logo at the top of the page, it returns a "Nothing found" error, and if you click the logos in the sidebar or footer, it takes you to the url.com/enter page instead of url.com/home, which is what I'd like.

Is there an easy way to change this behaviour?

I had previously solved the issue by manually editing the header.php, sidebar.php, and footer.php and changing references to echo home_url to the url.com/home link, which worked great. The only problem was that this broke the search function at the bottom of the page (you'd get the "nothing found" error when you searched. The search widget in the sidebar still worked.

Hopefully there is a workaround? I don't mind editing the files manually, I just don't want to break anything or edit more lines of code than I need to.
