main page always stays on france even I click to change posts... it doesn't get center of the posts? could please help?

Are yo looking to change the front page center or the center when a search turns up no posts?

If you want to change the centering of the front page it is a bit more intensive than what we are looking at here.

My Appologies... I gave you the original way to search the function. Here is the exact code I have in my "local" build of the site. (Inside of the //* *//)

thanks for replying but i have looked by cant see the co-ords i need to change.

I am not sure how much I can get into, due to the agreement that TheMolitor has with the customizing company, but it you search the JS for either "lat" or "lon" you will find the location fairly quick, otherwise you will have to read over half of the code to get to the portion that is described above.

Then you will have to find "type" or search for a map type in the code and change it to whatever default type you would like to display when your default location is displayed.

NOTE: This DOES NOT affect the default landing marker on your front page. It will always show the last post that you have uploaded, unless you change the PHP to show otherwise.

can you tell me how to change this please. ive looked at gmap3.min.js but its just a mass of lines of code.

Answer: You will need to change the file "gmap3.min.js" to reflect the centering lat/lon that you wish.
!!The position is map type specific!!

I realize that every post (and Blog) needs a lat/long in order to show a pin in order for the map to respond and center itself.

Is there a way for the map center to be changed if I do not add a lat/long to a Blog?
i.e.: I am using the calendar widget and click on one of the post dates. It then shows me the Blogs posted for that date and a map that is centered on France...

I would like it to focus on a specific area that I dictate.

Is this possible or should I expect to be sent to the customizer?

I will be looking this up through the GMap API data, just in case it has an easily added function, but thought I would start here, just in case.
