Hi.

Look for this in the CSS style sheet
==================================
/*----SPONSOR CAROUSEL STUFF-----*/
#carouselContainer {position: relative; background: #eee url(images/sponsor_tile.jpg) repeat; width: 100%; padding: 65px 0 0; border-top: 1px solid #ddd;}

==================================

OPTION #1
You can see that an image is being used as the back ground. It is being repeated all over the place. If you go to your FTP [ /wp-content/themes/wp-aid/images ]
You will find the "sponsor_tile.jpg" there. You can open it with Fireworks or any good image editer and change the color (I suggest you keep the white strip to maintain the pattern display). MAKE A BACKUP OF THE IMAGE BEFORE TRYING EDITING IT :)

To make things easier, simply copy-paste the image directly in your FTP. Keep the back up there. You can quickly swap the visual of your website by simply renaming the file on the FTP and empty the cache of your browser if needed.

OPTION #2
If you wish to have a plain color (which doesnt look very good, plus you will see the carousel slider buttons starting to pixelize if there is no back ground motif). Anyways if you wish to have a plain back ground, you can either repeat a plain motif, or edit the code directly by removing the back ground repeat, and adding [color: #000; ] after the [background: #eee blablabla] in the line of code ahead.

The specific line of code is about one third down the code if you scroll it down from the wp-admin pannel. I dont have the exact line number sorry :)

I hope this helps, let me know if you manage something.
And by the way MAKE BACKUP before changing anything. I am not member of the Molitor team, I'm just visitor here.

Peace be with you brother or sister.
Simon

Is there a way to change the background color (default is light grey). Many of the images I wish to use are light and a darker background may make them more prominent. I am using the aid template for a non-profit that I am a board member of - it has been around since 1915! Development site is: http://www.divisawebstudio.com/
