Thanks Chris + Chris,
my previous Site was a simple html page as starter followed by a html frameset with flash navigation and mostly flash content. I guess the very good ranking came from this simple html page. My intention was to improve the situation not to downgrade it.
I´m still thinking about this generated slidershow out of the five newest artikels and suppose this is the problem.

Hi there,

As Chris mentioned, there are a lot of variables. Not knowing what your previous site was like, keep in mind that this is a portfolio based theme, which really only uses a bunch of images with little text (good for users, not so fun for bots).

I build my sites for users, not bots. While I make sure all my code is proper and structured correctly, it really comes down to the quality of your content and the popularity of your site.

Hope that helps!

Chris

Hello,

the animation shouldnt affect your google rankings at all, most likely is another case as rankings are pretty variable and they do go up and down from time to time(sometimes for no apparent reason)

hello,
could it be, that the start-animation of "chameleon" is not really helpful for google? Since we did our Site with this theme, our ranking, which was quite good before, became worse and worse. Thanks for help. http://www.bild-media.de
