The map is built/suppose to focus on the most recent item added to the map. Regarding zoom settings, that is all controlled form the theme options panel.

Please let me know if I misunderstand the issue you're having.

I'm actually not sure that is the case... Here is why...

I'm using the same places you guys have in the demo. Your demo comes up centered. My site continues to go to the last location entered.

Also, there is such a drastic different in zoom settings, it is difficult to make appear correctly with high pixel screens.

Any help on why my site is different from the demo?

@rmw603 so thats actually gmaps repeating(itll be different on different size monitors) unfortunately we have no control over that you can set it to center but itll see show the excess see, theres a few hacks but they break other features in gmaps and not sure theyd work with the theme

Thanks, but that didn't help.

As advised in the other thread, I changed blog category to my "blog" category.

When I look at my map on several different browsers, it leans towards the last post I entered. For instance, I can't see India as it is now. But before I put NY in, I couldn't see the US. I would like for it to be perfectly centered....

When I zoom out to 2, from 3, I see India on my map twice... So, I think I'm zoomed out as much as I can without doubling up on the map.

If you know of any other tricks, great! If not, no worries...

@rmw603 I think I answered it(after I posted here) relating to your blog setting and homepage in the other thread let me know if that doesnt fix it(also you may want to make the zoom a little less

I've been trying to figure this one out for hours... I only have 3 posts. One is a page that is not even categorized. The others are posts, which have been categorized. Still, my home page map defaults to the most recent posts. I have tried changing zoom and that does not work either. Thanks for your help.

This happens when non-map posts are showing on the map. Make sure any non-map posts you have are not in the map related categories.

I have a ategory for places and other one for blog.

both correctly configured.

but them map still centering in france.

I only have one marker (at the moment) and have lat and long.

any kind of help? tanks
