I'm not aware of a solution for tagging images. Sorry.

I've been googling the issue of tagging or categorizing separate images in WP but all I've found are some dead posts from several years ago.

An example of my problem would be: say I come from a photo trip where I've shot some macro, panoramas, caught a nice deer and made some group shots of the gang. Now is it somehow possible to insert them all in one post and categorize or tag the images separately so that they will all end up in their designated galleries.

So far I've only determined that I can categorize the whole post only. Perhaps I'm looking at the whole structuring thing from the wrong angle ... maybe someone can give some hints on how to deal with the images so that the ones that I've posted in the blog will also end up in their respective galleries/pages/etc.

Sorry if this seems a mundane issue, but I've just started with wordpress and it's a lot of information to digest.
