Apologies for misunderstanding...

Assigning a "category marker" is not currently a theme option. Custom markers must be added for each post that uses them (via post edit screen).

Hi Christopher, sorry we dont understand the instructions.
And what we really asked for is if when you add a category to a post, that it would automatically have a certain marker?

Hi there,

Each location post supports a "custom link" option.

Using this, you can create a "category post" that represents an entire category of locations. Just enter a link to the CATEGORY PAGE you want to represent and clicking the post in the map will direct users to the category page you provided.
