Chris K,

Thanks for taking a look. I've tried editing the css to remove anything that might be causing the extra space around the images, but I'm without any luck. With changing everything I can see to 0px I still get the unwanted spacing. This is what I have:

div.wp-caption {max-width:100%; margin:0; padding:0; background-color:#F5F5F5; }
div.wp-caption.alignleft {margin:0; padding:0;}
div.wp-caption.alignright {margin:0; padding:0;}
div.wp-caption p.wp-caption-text {font-size:10px; line-height: 12px; margin:0; padding: 0; background-color:#c5c5c5;}
div.wp-caption img {margin:0; padding:0;}
p.wp-caption-text{ margin:0; padding:0;text-align:center;}

I also changed this:

img.centered {display:block;margin:0 auto;}
img.alignright {display:inline;margin:0; }
img.alignleft {display:inline;margin:0;}

I do need the captions to show and 'display:none;' removes it altogether. The idea is just to have a background color for the caption area that lines up with the image. But depending on the alignment of the image I'll get extra spacing one or both sides, its equal to 10px.

I appreciate your time, I know it must be a silly problem.

Cheers!

line 784 in the style.css

alterntivly you can add something like this to the very bottom(or the custom css in the options)
'
p.wp-caption-text{
display:none;
}
'

Hi,

I'm just starting out with your theme and had a simple question that I was hoping someone could solve for me. I'm not sure if it falls outside the scope of the support forum.

Here is what I'm working on: http://staging.wentworthvilla.com/history/

My question is in regards to the captions and inserted images. I've added a background colour to div.wp-caption and I'm wondering about the padding that seems to occur next to the image as soon as a caption is added. I would like to remove it but I can't seem to find where is coming from in the css file.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers, M.
