You need to create a page specifically for the home page (in the demo it's called "Welcome") and upload images to that. As long as you don't select the "gallery" page template, the home page will default to the menu.

I had the same problem and the fix you say works perfectly but actually the main Gallery now is set as the home page.

What I think that people want is the "thumb tab" be a shortcut to the Gallery itself not set the Gallery as home page !!!

To have a gallery on the home page, you need to create a page with
images uploaded to it. Then, navigate to the "reading" page (under
"general settings") and select the page you created in the drop down
menu for the static home page (you can ignore the post page dropdown).

I can see my gallery if i put it in the menu, however the thumbs section doesnt appear on the opening page like its exaplained in the video

I purchased yesterday your theme, which is awesome.
I'm founding then some issue.
You said in the video that as soon as you upload images through WP, the "THUMBS" panel in the main view will appear.

What should I do?
It's odd, I guess I'm doing something wrong, because if I repeat the same pictures upload process and make a new gallery in the "home" panel, then I can see, in the submenu, the correct "thumbs" panel, as expected.

In fact I wish I could have the "thumbs" panel in the main menu, getting access to single galleries as for each thumbnail. Is it possible?

Last, but not least, is it possible to show pictures taken in portrait mode (i.e. vertically) not by cutting them? I wish I could show them fullscreen, without justifying' them to the sides of the screen.
