Another newbie here. New site new WP, new content. Was also hoping that the sample menu could just be loaded for easy one by one replacement. The video shows the old "Menus" and "Catagories" pages and they are just different enough I have not been able to create Subcatgories. So only one page rolls up on the site so far.

Looks like you sitll need to set a few things up in the theme options(logo etc) also its loading very slow for me

as for the login information Im not sure what email you sent it to but I did not receive it

Okay, I registered a domain and purchased hosting - the site has now been uploaded. It's behaving exact same way as on Instant WordPress. I spoke with one of the BlueHost techs to see if I was missing anything in particular, but he said it appeared to be set up correctly, at least as far as getting the basic example content in.

can you post a link to your site so I can see what youve done at least, this isnt a instant setup you need to walk through the videos to set everything up as well as set all of your theme options(Appearance -> Theme Options)

I tried following the instructions over my lunch break to no avail. The footer appears over the main logo / content. I'm starting to think there's a glitch in Instant Wordpress.

Can you provide the necessary steps to replicate the content from a fresh InstantWP installation?

Alternately, if there's some information I can provide in order to help you troubleshoot, please let me know. I've watched the video and scoured the help file, as well as reviewed the 'Using WordPress 3.0 Menu System' walkthrough.

Hello,

the logo doesnt upload by default you need to add one via the options, the demo content adds the menus but you still need to set them via the WordPress admin(Appearance -> Menus)

it sounds like you just need to set the theme up the WordPress importer doesnt set everything you still need to do that manually, please read the help file as well as watch the theme walkthrough

Apologies in advance - I'm not experienced with WordPress or building websites in general. If it makes any difference, I'm using Instant WordPress.

I'm also having trouble. The logo is not uploaded by default, nor are the separate menus, etc.

Please help - I purchased the theme in order to quickly throw together the site, and Saturday's my deadline! Almost all of the content (images, copy) has already been created, it's just a matter of placing it and testing.

Here's what I did:

> Installed fresh copy of Instant Wordpress
> Deleted all pages and posts
> Installed theme from zip
> Imported the demo_content .xml

I had assumed all content would be present as in the demo, but it's not, unfortunately. It's very important that I have this content, as I'll essentially be modifying things bit by bit, following the examples provided.
