I figured out the problem. I changed the permalinks option. It was causing all kinds of subtle strange errors.

Hi there,

I'm not aware of anything theme-based that would impact uploading issues. The upload feature is controlled entirely by WordPress, so issues like this shouldn't be related to the theme.

Are you using the latest version of the theme (Version 1.2.2)?

Maybe try searching the WordPress support forums? http://wordpress.org/support

My Producer Theme will not allow me to upload an image for the logo or the background anymore. When I first got the template it worked fine, but now that part does not work. Everything else works great.
