Have you tried using another image as the background image for that post? What if you use the image from the post that's working? Perhaps try and re-create that post?

no nothing different. I did delete the welcome page and then I think the problem began. I added back the welcome page and problem persists. Tough one. Is there a fix

Any differences in your background images? What about the sizing of the two images?

the image on the home page is the image I want. The url below is the image I want to show up when you click the blog post for "Sarah 2012"(not the featured image, but a background image). As you see when you go that blog post the same image on the home page shows up, but when I place the below url in in the custom background image url for the post it not only shows up on the post, but will now show up on the home page replacing the url image that is listed as theme options background url. The theme options background image url is being overidding by the post background url.

Theme has been working great then all of a sudden this problem. I had added the url for an image in the media library to the background url in the theme options to have a specific image show up on the home page, but now that image will not show up. What shows up is the image I specify as a custom background for a blog post. It happens to be the image for the oldest blog post. What changed and how to fix? Thanks.
