Hi there,

Slider order is controlled by the publish date. For more options, please review this FAQ: http://www.themolitor.com/forums/topic/slider-order

Regarding the category, be sure to create a slider category and an event category. You'll want to assign the slider and event categories on the customize page so that the theme knows to only display slider category posts in the slider and event category posts in the calendar.

Also, how do I designate items to appear there? My only solution has been to add another category named 'Upcoming' but as you can see below, this automatically makes Upcoming visible on the calendar as well. http://www.yourworldcalendar.com

Trying to see if it is organized by any format or can I control the posts order in the slider? Thanks
