Hi there,

The layering is controlled by the Google maps API, so I'm not immediately aware of a method to control that.

Unfortunately this is a side effect of having points so close to each other. I'll keep my eyes out for a solution, but in the meantime my best suggestion is to adjust the zoom level if possible.

Best,

Chris

Hi Chris,
I tried changing the post date. Doesn't change the overlap. It doesn't appear to layer post date/time, or by alphabet title, or by north-south.

I have been able to create markers which make the edges of the overlapped items show, and that makes the folks happier. But if get any insight into how we might trick the map, I'll try it.

We have other items to add to the map, but now folks are a little afraid they markers might get hidden again. http://www.palouseheritagenetwork.net

Thanks, Joan

Hi there,

Try changing the publish date for the posts to see if that adjusts the layering order.

Let me know if that helps.

Best,

Our map covers a region of tiny little towns. Most towns have more than one pin, which means they overlap until zoomed in quite closely. This can result in hidden pins. In that situation, is there a way for me to do something to make sure that a specific pin ends up on top? I have not been able to figure out how they are getting layered.
