The plugins used is a bit old so i use "All-in-One Event Calendar" which is updated regularly ( http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar/ ). Everything works perfect now.

Hmm, looks like a plugin issue. Try adding something like this to the theme CSS...

.calnk a:hover span {width:100% !important;}

Using WP 3.2.1, tested on Firefox & Chrome, when hovering events the calender CSS is broken, same with the demo site here: http://www.wpuniversity.themolitor.com/
