Hi there,

Sorry, but that goes a bit beyond the level of support I'm able to provide here in the forums. If it was something I knew off the top of my head I would gladly help, but if it requires a bit of research, testing and custom code then I have to refer you to the customization request form: http://themolitor.com/custom

Hope you understand.

Thanks!

Chris

I see, thanks for the speedy response!

However, a calendar of events that links to non-calendar posts seems like the wrong behavior to any viewer.

I would think there's a php filtering mechanism that can be applied to the calendar template file so that month links do not use the conventional WordPress archive scheme, but instead pull a month archive from just the events category.

During the current month, events posts will invariably mingle with blog posts from the same month which is confusing.

This would be a problem for every user of this theme who employed more than one Post category which must be most users.

Thanks again for your time and help!

Hi there,

No, this is not an oversight. The archive feature of WordPress applies to ALL posts. Archiving is just as important for your blog as it is for your events.

The thing to keep in mind is that since events take place in the future, when users are browsing future archives they won't see any blog-related posts there.

Thanks!

Chris

Eventure seems to be showing non-events category posts when viewing by month. An example is for my site during the month of April:

http://www.phutureprimitive.com/2013/04/

Though there are no events to show there now since it's from last month, you can see the one non-events category post still shows.

I would assume that ONLY events category posts would appear from links in the Calendar. Am I missing something or is this an oversight in the theme programming?

Thanks for any help!
____

NOTES:

I'm using a category "Tour Dates" (slug: tour-dates) for calendar Events Category. However, the post seen in the above link is using two other categories: one for generic News and another for the homepage slider. It has no reason to appear among events.

One thing to note is that the Tour Dates category is the WordPress default or first category.
