Since posting I have 'fixed' this issue.
I'd still like to know how to get this working correctly, without having to alter calender.php?

I changed this line -
/blog/<?php echo get_the_time('Y/m'); ?>">
adding '/blog'...

I wonder if it's because I imported from a local WP installation where I think I was using static pages 'home' and 'blog'? Opinions/thoughts?

I have this problem too, I think that I can see why though. I have the permalink as suggested, but I haven't got something setup right. i.e

Month links to '/2012/06', but my posts are 'blog/2012/06/posttitle/'

Hi there,

The problem is that your permalink structure is not properly setup. On the permalink setting page (under general settings menu item in WordPress), make sure you're using the "month and name" structure. It's just a check box you need to select and save.

That should fix it.

I believe the full link should be something like:
mydomain.com/?m=201206
That would be for June 2012
Instead, the link is mydomain.com/2012/06
Which gets a big fat 404

Try using the "Month and Name" URL structure on the "Permalink Settings" page.

When i click on BIG MONTH DATE (not the event) eg. MAR 2012 it redirects me to PAGE NOT FOUND.

any help ?
