By the way, my mistake on Browsershots. It's .org, not .com.

Yeah, it looks like you needed a Flash upgrade and that fixed the problem on your end. HTML 5 is supposed to take care of that, though, but you know how things are.

Contact 7 is a good plugin and doesn't conflict a whole lot. I use it all the time. Jetpack might be messing with things, yeah, especially since it's a bunch of plugins thrown into one. Disable it and see what happens, but try every plugin. If you're using a caching plugin, try that first, because though those are extremely useful, they can also be the weirdest. If you don't know what caching is, don't worry about it at this point until you the basics down.

But I do think this has something to do with your CSS, though. Have you been messing with the theme's CSS file (Style.css) at all? If so, try reuploading the original file to the site and see what happens. Judging from your site now, I'm guessing you've given up on the theme for the time being, but give it a couple more gos and see what happens.

got the video players working in firefox and chrome. Not sure how, I didn't do anything but download a video converter from off the net!! Sometimes you just have to threaten to tweak things I guess!!

still have the problem in firefox and chrome with the all gray color...and to make matters worse, the text is white...can't even see it. The countdown clock isn't working in those browsers either, I did delete a plug in, contact 7, but that didn't fix it. Do you think it could be the jetpack that comes with wordpress. I like the stats function it gives you though, and if I delete it and lose all my data, that would suck if it still doesn't correct the color or clock problem though. The only other plug in I have is contactme . Is that plug in known to interfere with anything?

I need to get these issues corrected as soon as possible because there is some guy critizing my candidates site. He says it looks cheap. That was not a look I was going for...lol. Could anyone go look at my site and tell me how I can make it more professional looking and give me some advice or pointers here? Or do you think that guy is just voting for the other candidate??...lol.

Any help or guidance would be much appreciated. Thank you!!

      I'm not the theme author, but I've been doing some of the things you're talking about.

      Firstly, I highly recommend using Chrome as your regular browser. It's lighter, faster, and better than IE in almost every respect. It also has the "inspect element" option in the right-click menu, which allows you to check out a specific part of your site as it appears in the HTML and CSS of your site, among other things.

      My thinking is that you've got another plugin that is conflicting with your javascript for the counter. Those files seem to be intact, and the script works elsewhere. Try disabling one plugin at a time (start with any minifiers you might be using) and see if one of those might be the root of your problem. Regarding the color schemes, that might be an issue with the CSS, since there is a different CSS file for IE than there is for the rest of the site.

      If you want a good resource for seeing what your stuff looks like on other browsers, check out browsershots.com. You'll have to wait a bit, but it'll help.

      Finally, to embed a video directly onto the page, you'll have to add the embed code into the HTML. When you're editing a page or post, click on the HTML tab and paste the code there, making any edits as you feel necessary.

      I have been working on this site all weekend, http://www.manninoforsenate.com Its looking very good now, at least in Internet explorer. But when I use firefox, the countdown clock doesn't work, and the bright blue slider bar is gray, and the video there doesn't populate. In Chrome, the same issues. How can I fix this??

      Also, as I have been building the site in IE, I am having trouble getting videos to embed into the page. I'd rather have the full video there on site, rather than a link. Can anyone tell me how to make that happen?
