The updated version of my suggested edits on that link you provided are removing the following on lines 25-34 of "index.php"...

Regarding the excerpt/continue reading, those are separate WordPress functions. To combine them requires a bit of customizations. Please use this form to change this behavior: http://themolitor.com/custom

Thanks for the response. The changes I made have been undone so it is the updated index.php file that came w/ v 5.1 at http://focrls.org/news. I have summarized the changes that I had previously and would like to get back to in this screenshot http://screencast.com/t/trwFA0SUQGX

I'm not sure what edits you made, but you'll need to undo them to for me to troubleshoot this issue (if it still exists).

Unfortunately I don't recall specifically what instructions I provided, but it's possible those edits won't work properly on the newest version of the theme.

If you provide details of my instructions I can see if they need to be adjusted.

Hello,

I updated the theme files yesterday and am having trouble with the blog posts not showing up. I have done some modifications to the theme files as was instructed by you a year ago when I first got my site up and running.
There is only one blog category. The category is called News. The old theme files have the index.php file with a category of 1. I changed this to category 4 when I was troubleshooting last night but I am not sure that this was correct (1 didn't work either though). If you are on the homepage (http://focrls.org) and click on one the News items then this will take you to a "Post". Clicking on the News menu item does nothing but I have the reading>posts page>News.

Again the website is http://focrls.org/
