Hi there,

To create a portfolio masonry layout (images with different heights), select “Masonry” in the template drop down inside page attributes.

To customize the category that appears on the page, enter the category name in the “Category for page tempalte” field. Once finished, simply add posts (with featured images) to the category you specified.

Example: http://themolitor.com/help/wpbm/images/blog_layout.png

Hope that helps!

Best,

Chris

Hello,

Ok I see. Thank you.

I have another question. What is the utility of the "Category for page template - pages only" area. Because when I fill it, I don't see the changes.

Thank you.

Hi there,

Those are standard posts, but they made edits to the template files to achieve that layout. Since WordPress does not support page templates for posts, making layout changes like this requires custom development. You can submit a request for that here: http://themolitor.com/customization-request

Best,

Chris

Hi,

First, please, pardon my poor english.

I think I understand what M was asking because I would like the same. I want a category (or place in the menu) that gather my pages and not my posts.

I would like a category, that contains only pages, and not posts.

Like this blog that use Brick and Mason theme http://roos-vandewerk.nl/

If you click on the BRANDING & IDENTITY category in the menu, you have a Portofolio layout. And within this layout, there are not posts (or posts appearance) but it is like pages, in Full width page template or default page template.

I don't get how this clever person achieved it. I read and re-read the Brick & and Mason instructions, but sorry, I don't get it. All I see is Category and Posts but not Category and Pages.

Description of what I've tried:

I tried to create, a page test in Full width (or default template), and enter the category name in the "Category for page template - pages only". But only posts appear in this category my page test is nowhere to be seen.

Please can you help me?

Thanks in advance,

Hi,

I'm looking into making my blog posts look like a page post or have that individual template available depending on the kind of blog entry I'm posting.

How do I create a blog post template based off the Page template?
