WordPress requires that there be a post published to the category in order for it to be an available option to select. Annoying, I know ;-)

I have set up location categories and set up a category called Blog to be used as the name implies. However, when I open the General tab in the customization menu, some (but not all) of my location categories appear, but to my dismay - no category called Blog is listed. So I can't choose it.

The Blog category appears properly in the menus area, and I selected it as part of the menu. What should I do to get it to appear so I can choose it as my blog?
