Hi there,

I can confirm those fields are not required. If blank, the theme displays the publish date and post author automatically. Example: http://themes.themolitor.com/kitchen/2013/08/he-who-has-a-why-to-live-can-bear-almost-any-how/

By chance are you using a Windows server? Let me know.

Best,

The site is at http://imaginate.me/mwlp/ and we're using the Lifestyle Activities and Exercise as just a category from the blog (posts). Right now they say "none" cause if I leave them blank I get the error. I'd love it if they were left blank they wouldn't show at all.

Hi there,

I've never seen that error message pop up before. Can you provide a link to your site? I'll check it out.

Regarding bookmarks, the plugin system is intended to be available for all post types (recipe/blog/etc). I appreciate you're using bookmarks as a meal system, but that isn't how the theme was designed/setup to work, so if you need to explore a custom solution for this specific setup, please submit a request here: http://themolitor.com/custom

Best,

Hi Chris, actually they sort of are. If I leave them blank I get this:

<b>Notice</b>: Undefined index: std in <b>/home/imaginme/public_html/mwlp/wp-content/themes/kitchen/include/post-meta.php</b> on line <b>57</b>

which shows up on the front end too. Plus the Bookmark button still shows too for blog posts which (as I mentioned before) are related to the meals.

Hi Chris, thanks for the reply. I could get by with the view list filter option, but the fact that Custom Post Options require me to enter in a Recipe Time and Serving Size for a blog posts, is a bit hindering to a blog format. Plus the toolbar has Bookmark on the blog posts too, which would only be related to the meal planner. You can see that these things would not be related to a blog.

Do you have any ideas to actually make a blog work with your theme and not be associated with meals or a meal planner?

Hi there,

The multi view system was intended to be used for all post types. I felt giving the user control over how they view lists of posts it the best method, regardless of whether it's a recipe post or a blog post.

Implementing an alternative to current setup of the theme goes a bit beyond the level of support I'm able to provide here in the forums. For requests that require a bit of research, testing and custom code, I have to refer you to the customization request form: http://themolitor.com/custom

Hope you understand.

Best,

Chris

Hi Chris, I know that you've combined the meals as the posts, but my client would like to have a blog and the meals. I wish the meals were a post type and the posts were set aside for the blog. I'm sure I could use a custom post type plugin and it would work, but the issue is that the blog would be using the same multi view that the meals has rather than a simple list of blog posts. Do you know of a way to get this working in this fashion?

Let me know. Thanks.
