Hi there,

The padding for the header is currently achieved via CSS...

#header {padding: 100px 0;}

You can adjust the 100px and throw it in your custom CSS panel on the customize page. For the footer, you can adjust the following via CSS...

#copyright {height: 220px;}

Adjust the 220px and throw it in your custom CSS panel on the customize page.

Hope that helps. Since this is a customization and I'm just throwing suggestions off the top of my head, if you need additional help with this, please submit a request here: http://themolitor.com/custom

Best,

Thanks Chris - I deleted all those lines and appear to have the same display for my header and my footer just cuts off the top where the widgets are - is there a way I can define these spaces to keep the content nice and tight? We're just getting some older customers who dont see the menu and we wanna tighten it up a bit.

Appreciate your help a lot. and in advance for further instruction.

Cheers,

Dennis

Hi there,

Everything looks good to me. The space you see in those areas depends on how large your screen is both in resolution and dimensions. If you see a lot of excess space, that means you're on fairly large display. For users with smaller displays, they will see little if any extra space.

This effect is done in order to make sure the header + menu are the only things you see when you visit the site initially.

If you still want to remove this effect, for the header section open up "custom.js" and remove the following on lines 657,668 and 674...

headerHeight();

...for the footer section, remove the following on lines 658,670 and 675...

footerHeight();

Let me know if that helps.

Best,

Chris

http://www.buskerbirthdays.com - I'll take a look and see if I can change it to be a specific height - any hints on the code would be appreciated.

Hi there,

Can you provide a link to your site? I'll check it out.

Keep in mind, content is centered horizontally and vertically (depending on the vertical space available) in those areas.

Best,

Chris
