I had a similar problem to this. I was trying to upload a 10Mb video file but it said there was a 1Mb limit. I eventually found that I could increase the file upload size in the Wordpress settings. I changed the setting from 1Mb to 25Mb, and the file was uploaded successfully.

Yes, you need to upload MP4 videos from your WordPress dashboard. I found this article for tips to increase upload size: http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-increase-the-maximum-file-upload-size-in-wordpress/

If you still have trouble, your hosting provider should be able to assist with these requests.

Ok, So I would need to upload the video in the Dashboard?
Is there any way to increase the upload limit from 10 MB. I have tried to use a Plugin to edit the php5.ini and the php.ini.

So, new question: I am trying to make the background a video background instead to the featured image slideshow, and I uploaded the video to Youtube, but when I copy and paste the URL into the designated box in the Customize view, it doesn't work. I've tried using the full video URL, the shortened URL from my Youtube's Info and Settings page, and just the alpha-numerical Youtube ID tag. What am I doing wrong?
