i hope i'm not killing you! i did have wp super cache installed....diabled it, deleted it....refreshed the site using command R....checked the FTP file to make sure the add was in there..yep. reopened on ipad & iPhone...ugh, no change....do you see the new code in my custom.js files now?

also if it helps you in this riddle....i loaded the site on the iphone too and refreshed a few times....on the iphone that bit of code enlarged the page content, but did nothing to the background images. i really appreciate you looking into this but don't kill yourself over this, if you find a solution...great, if not we'll all live :)

just did it...no change on iPad...i refreshed the iPad load a few times too...

After searching the web for answers, no solutions came up :-/

This just appears to be a bug with Mobile Safari, which is extremely odd.

An important factor to consider here is that the background image is meant as a decorative element. While they're nice, on mobile devices decorations tend to take a back seat to content as users are on a much smaller screen (i.e. most design elements are purposefully removed for mobile versions of the design).

Basically what I'm trying to say is that the background image shouldn't be that crucial on a mobile device. At least it shouldn't be a deal breaker for your client.

I'll keep my eyes open for a solution, though.

hey chris, gotcha, thanks for the reply! let me know if you do find a solution. the client i am building the site for wants their site to be responsive to a mobile phone....and i love this theme...already built their site on this theme :)

Hi there,

Don't worry, you aren't doing anything wrong. This is how iOS handles the CSS background "cover" method for some reason. Basically iOS is covering the entire height of the page. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Since this is a very basic CSS method, I'm not sure if there's a way to trick iOS. I'll mark this thread "pending review" and will do some research.

hey chris...another issue i am probably screwing up....each one of my panels have a background image. i am using a 700x450 image size...totally fine on my desktop (27" screen ) and my laptop (13" screen)...but on my ipad the images are enormous...like zoomed in x 100...i tried it with both the default template and liquid template..no change...what am i doing wrong? thanks!
