Hey Steve,

That thread is your best bet - but if you do need some slight customizations (for anchoring), you can fill out the following form: http://themolitor.com/custom.

Thanks,
Justin

Thanks. That's the resolution I've been working with, but I'm still getting a lot of variability in how the image is scaling, depending on browser size (including at full-screen on a widescreen monitor). Since it seems to scale both vertically and horizontally, I was hoping to experiment with the anchoring.

Can someone please help me understand how the background image scaling works? I'm having a lot of instances where the image is scaling in such a way that image is extending beyond the borders of the browser (i.e., its effective size/aspect ratio is bigger than the viewable area of the browser's), resulting in portions of the image being cut off unless the browser's at exactly the right ratio. Since it's impossible to know what users' browser window sizes will be, that's presenting some difficulties. I'm typically sizing images at 1024/x768 (which is part of the problem, as nobody's actual browser height is that size if they're viewing on a 1024x768 monitor), but it's happening even when I try sizing at something more like 960x720, which would preserve aspect ratio while accounting for browser toolbars, etc.).

I did try to read a bit on the Backstretch plugin, but I'm not good with Javascript, so I'm not sure how to adjust that if I want to try to confine the anchor for the scaling to only the X or the Y axis (currently, it appears that it scales to both). So, I'd greatly appreciate some advice on how to either adjust the Backstretch js code to experiment with confining the anchor to one axis, or guidelines on image size that is less likely to result in scaling issues. Thanks.
