I seem to have overlooked the new "Notification"-app within Jetpack. Disable it, and the backgrounds are back. I have no use for it so even though this is not a real solution, I don't mind it being disabled. :)

Same here, Jetpack 2.1.1 renders the backgrounds void. Have tried to deactivate some of the Jetpack-"Apps" one by one with no luck. Only a complete disable of Jetpack makes the theme look like intended again.

So I upgraded to the new Jetpack 2.1.1 and my background images stopped working. I deactivated and they worked again. Any idea why this would be happening? I'd really like to still be able to utilize Jetpack.

Ah, I should have checked that first. After deactivating all plugins, the background image works.

Hi, I am trying to set up this theme, but am having problems with background images.

I set a default background image, which never loads. I have set backgound images on 3 other posts. The background image will display when navigating via the homepage slider, but won't display on the actual post page.

I looked through the documentation but didn't find anything on this particular issue. Any ideas?
