WordPress actually doesnt allow you to use images that are already in the media library for galleries, its a known issue with WordPress and theres nothing we can directly do about it(though I believe theres a fix in the mix for a future WordPress releases but not 100% when)

you can check the WordPress.org forums and see if anyone from the Core team has a clue when they plan to include the feature

About the category I found in help (sorry).
But I didnt found nothing about using the files of media library on gallery.

Hi,
I'm with 2 questions.
1 - When I add/edit a category, there is no field to choose the background image. So how can I change it?
2 - I have a lot of images on library. But I want to use them on more posts. I want them in the gallery and not inserted in the post. But in the gallery I only can upload new images. How can I do?
