Ah yes, those options didn't appear when I first tried it, may have been my browser issue, that's resolved it for the main part. I can live with the menu background being static, as you say it needs to cover the credit so that makes sense.

Hi there,

After you upload an image, there are additional options made available. For the "Background Attachment" option, be sure to assign the "fixed" setting.

Regarding the sidebar, there is a solid background assigned for that element because it needs to cover the credits in the footer, which would be visible otherwise.

Thanks for the fast response Christopher - it's almost what I had in mind, but unfortunately the uploaded image then scrolls up with the top layer (rather than being revealed beneath the scrolling part, if you see what I mean), and also doesn't appear beneath the side menu.

Hi there,

Try adding the following to your functions.php file (after "<?php")...

//BACKGROUND
////////////
$args = array(
	'default-color' => '#191919',
);
add_theme_support( 'custom-background', $args );

This will add a background image option on the customize page.

Hi, loving the theme, and the extensive support.

I am just wondering if I'm able to use an uploaded image instead of a flat 'background color' (I'm talking about the color that appears behind when scrolling down to reveal the credits etc), as I have a 'textured' color I'd like to use...
